Life Insurance Active clergy enrolled in the Comprehensive Protection Plan (CPP) have a $50,000 death benefit. Retired clergy have a death benefit based on thirty percent (30%) of the Denominational Average Compensation (DAC) if the clergy person retired from a local church, superintendency, or conference staff. Spouse and/or dependents are also covered by a death benefit at a percentage of the DAC. Please keep your beneficiary form current.
Staff may have a death benefit if the local church or plan sponsor is enrolled in a Death and Disability Plan. The amount of coverage is determined by the local church or plan sponsor.
